Hoy os quiero enseñar mi hogar, me gustaría decir mi casa ... pero mentiría, es un piso. Sin embargo, no lo cambio por nada. Este es mi refugio, mi biblioteca, mi hotel favorito, el lugar donde educamos a nuestros hijos, la cafetería donde mis hijos celebran sus cumpleaños... todo.
Empezaremos por la entrada recién remodelada. ¡Espero que os guste!
Today I want to show you my home. I wish I could say my house... but I would lie, it´s a flat. However, I wouldn´t change it for anything. It´s my shelter, my library, my favourite hotel, the place where we bring our children up, the cafe where our children celebrate their birthdays... everything.
We begin with the just redecorated hall. I hope you like it!
Continuamos con el salón, no muy grande pero bien aprovechadito. Como véis soy una gran aficionada a la fotografía y mis modelos son normalmente mis pacientes hijos. También me gusta combinar muebles antiguos(algunos heredados y otros comprados), con muebles de Ikea.
We continue with our living room, not big but well planned. As you can see, I`m passionate about photography and my patient kids are my models. I also like combine antique furniture (some as inheritance, some bought) with a few from Ikea.
A continuación mi querido dormitorio principal. Lo heredé de mis abuelos que a su vez heredaron de sus padres. Incluso la colcha está hecha por mi bisabuela y su madre. Espero que os guste. Por si os animáis a tejer, os muestro el detalle de la colcha.
Following my beloved master bedroom. I got as inheritance from my grandparents and they got it from their parents. Even the cover was made by my great grand mother and her mother. I hope you like it. If you feel like knitting, I enclose you a detail of the cover.
Como habréis adivinado los amantes de los muebles antiguos, he aprovechado los pies de la cama como decoración en la pared de enfrente. La bella acuarela que tengo encima de mi mesilla baúl la recibí el día de mi nacimiento y es obra de la pintora Alicia Asensio, prima de mi madre. También pertenece a la misma artista la acuarela que tenemos encima de la cómoda.
As you have likely guessed, you antique lovers, I have used my footboard to decorate the wall in front of the bed. The gorgeous watercolor was given to me when I was born and was painted by the artist Alicia Asensio, a cousin of my mother. The watercolor above the chest also belongs to the same artist.
Echemos un vistazo a las habitaciones de los chicos. Lo más destacable a nivel decorativo son los cabezales, todos antiguos, y el cuadro que el pequeño tiene en la pared. Mi marido y yo lo confeccionamos escaneando una colcha de cuando era pequeña y muy muy setentera. También es auténtica la guitarra de los cincuenta, perteneciente a mi tío Alberto y el sillón que tiene mi hija en su cuarto. Fue un regalo a mi bisabuelo.
Let´s have a look to the kid´s rooms. The most remarkable objects are the headboards, all of them antique, and the picture that the littlest has on one of his walls. My husband and I made it scanning a babycover of mine extremely 70's. The guitar is also genuine, from 50's and of my uncle Albert. The sofa that my daugther has in her room belonged to my great grand father.
La lámpara estaba en casa de mis padres y la pinté de verde y añadí las pantallas. Fue una de las grandes ideas de mi madre y el resultado fue genial. También le pegué las imágenes escaneadas de la colcha setentera. Uno de los cojines está hecho con dicha colcha, el de la derecha.
Vayamos ahora la corazón de la casa, la cocina. El reloj que la preside estuvo durante muchos años en la tienda de telas que tenían mis bisabuelos, más o menos desde 1920 hasta 1940. En la cocina compartimos muchos momentos a lo largo del día. A propósito, ¿os apetece un buen café? Mi marido los prepara maravillosamente.
Let´s go to the heart of the home, the kitchen. The clock on the wall was for more than twenty years into my great grandpartens fabric shop, more or less from 1920 to 1940. In the kitchen our family shares a lot of time all day long. By the way, do you feel like a good coffee? My husband prepares them beautifully.
